Native Aging in Place Project (NAPP)
The Native Aging in Place Project (NAPP) works with the Spirit Lake Nation to build local capacity to care for the community's Elders while they remain in their homes. The project engages community connections and utilizes the National Resource Center on Native American Aging's Native Elder Caregiver Curriculum to train caregivers and health professionals on providing care for Elders who live at home.
The Native Aging in Place Project:
- Develops templates, models, and best practices in helping Native Elders age in place.
- Helps fill a need for healthcare workers, family members, and friends to be trained in caregiving for Native Elders.
